Mr. Zain Ul Abiddin is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle surgery, including reconstructive foot surgery, bunion surgery, ankle fusions, tendon surgery and sports injuries. He sees private patients at Park Hill Hospital. Mr. Abiddin earned his primary medical qualification at the University of Nagpur in 1989, after which he achieved his Masters degree in Orthopaedics. Upon completion, Mr. Abiddin came to the UK to complete his basic and highest surgical training at the Mersey Deanery, where he gained knowledge and expertise in foot and ankle surgery. During this time spent training, Mr. Abiddin gained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons and achieved his second Masters degree at the University of Liverpool. Mr. Abiddin was also awarded an international fellowship in Maryland, USA. upon completion of his training and fellowships, he was appointed Consultant in 2010 at the Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Trust, where he has since established a Foot and Ankle Service within the Orthopaedic surgery department, which he currently leads. He is also a keen advocate for medical education and has also been appointed clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield, allowing him to partake in the training and education of medical students and junior doctors.
